Meet the Team
Sarah Phillips K
Sarah creates and oversees the programming at Balance. Her job is to maintain and provide the highest level of services, supports and resources available. Engaging in the community is really important and knowing what is happening “on the ground” is a priority in order to have the right programming available.
Stephanie is a Certified Yoga Instructor and runs classes of all levels for our members. Yoga is known to have many health benefits. In addition to our physical health, it helps with focusing our attention; as well as observing thoughts and feelings without judgement.
Self Care Coach
Karena helps to remind our members that even a simple cup of tea can be exactly what is needed in stressful times as long as it is done with intention. Her offerings can help decrease stress, anxiety and depression.
Mindfulness & Wellness Program Coordinator
Amelia helps to create much of the wellness content for Balance. With her diverse background that includes Life Coach, her love of people and relatable personality, Amelia is able to connect with clients through her videos and quirky mental health check-ins which can really brighten anyone’s day!
Registered Social Service Worker
Jaclyn is a RSSW available to do online or phone sessions with our members. Her input to our programming is very valuable. Mental health in parents and caregivers is often overlooked. At Balance, we believe mental health supports should be of the first resources available to parents and caregivers of individuals with diverse needs.
Executive Assistant/Social Media Coordinator/Ontario Autism Program (OAP) Resource Director
Myra is a master of social media and online support resources. She not only excels at keeping everyone connected, but has spent countless hours studying the OAP in order to further support a variety of Balance's programs.
