Statement Regarding the New Ontario Minister of Education Paul Calandra

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Hamilton, Ontario - March 26, 2025

Balance SSCS welcomes the Honourable Paul Calandra into his new role of Minister of Education. We expect his experience will bring a new perspective and  we hope there will be a renewed commitment to supporting Ontario schools.

Ontario's public education system is long overdue for changes and a paradigm shift. Many students are struggling because the practices currently in place are outdated and not neurodiversity-affirming.

We look forward to collaborating with Minister Calandra to address the issues that continue to plague Ontario's public education system and improve it so that it can better support the needs of disabled and neurodivergent students.
